Tell us a little about yourself.I am a part time web designer, a floral designer and the mother of a 3 yr old and 1 month old!
What special things do you create for weddings? I have made bridal bouquets, toss bouquets and paper flowers for arrangements, favor flowers in custom colors for the budget conscious bride. I do centerpieces, hair pieces also.
Who or what sparked your interest in making wedding-related items?My mother learned a tradition of making flowers and from the time I was young I used to see her make bouquets for brides and make flowers for arrangements. My house was always full of handmade flowers and everyone used to come and admire them. Now when I became a stay at home mom I decided to put my spin on her art and St Jude's Creations was born. Many of my friends like the arrangements I made and hence it `bloomed'. I put up a web site and have been receiving orders through the site mainly.
What is a little known fact, or something unique about your work that is interesting?Paper flowers, these flowers are made from paper! That was mostly everyone say. I do flowers from many materialslike fabric,clay,solabo wood too just that I haven't been concentrating on them so much. It's some thing I will be doing in the very near future.
If you are married, what's the one thing you wish you had for your wedding that you didn't? Hmmm…wish I did the reception arrangements!
What is your favorite part of the wedding journey? Kids!!!

If you could pick anyone famous that would purchase your items for their wedding, who would they be?I have been quite fortunate to have my paper flowers featured in an Oscar nominated movie starring Anthony Hopkins. The paper flowers the director ordered were featured in the movie for about 5 mins!

Today's interview is with one of our newest Etsy Wedding Team members, Marianna of MGMart. She makes beautiful accessories and jewelry with sheer fabric "petals".
Where are you located? Hungary Tell us a little about yourself. I love designing and creating jewelry. If I have some time, I usually paint and draw too. Every day I create something new, art is my life. I can’t live without it. I am Hungarian, married to an English man and have two small children. We use to live in London/UK, but a couple of years ago we moved to Hungary.
What special things do you create for weddings? My signature work: Petals Hair accessories, Petals rings, Petals earrings, Petals bracelets, Petals necklaces and Petals brooches.
Who or what sparked your interest in making wedding-related items? I love making accessories for weddings, because it is a happy and really special occasion in everybody’s life. And I like making people happy with my work.
What is a little known fact, or something unique about your work that is interesting? Every piece I have created over the years are a piece of wearable art. When I create a piece, I always look at the materials I am using and just go with the feeling of that item. I making them from my heart and I let my feelings do the work.
If you are married, what’s the one thing you wish you had for your wedding that you didn’t? To look like a princess.

What is your favorite part of the wedding journey? When the bride and the groom say “I do” to each other.
What advice can you share for all the brides getting married this year? To be happy, because when the happiness come from inside, the brides are even more beautiful. Don’t worry about anything, everything will be just right. Enjoy your day!!!

If you could choose 1 item from your shop that you wish every bride could have, what would it be? My Signature work: one of my Petals piece. They are romantic and feminine.
Crafter and Etsy Wedding Team member, DK Designs, is participating in a little "Crafter's Throwdown" with fellow wedding artisan, Stacie Tamaki of The Flirty Bride. As many of you know DK Designs specializes in handcrafted clay floral creations. Stacie makes custom beaded cake toppers and we figured out that our clay and bead work is perfect for custom cake toppers. We're doing a fun little "Crafter's Throwdown" where we took our talents and recreated a real flower Stacie took a picture of on a recent walk. DK Designs had the opportunity to participate in a wonderful video project with local wedding professionals in her area, which is aptly called "Vendor Chic". The event & project designer asked DK Designs to create a clay hair flower and custom invitations for the video project. Lea McIntosh of Ready to Propose brought together 18 talented wedding professionals to create a Proposal in Paradise. It's such an innovative business concept and much needed in the wedding industry. The clay hair flower seen in the video is uniquely different, but yet stylish and adds the perfect touch. The model in the video shoot wore it pretty much for the entire day and evening and it's seen in almost every shot. Most people wouldn't even know it was clay until they felt it or touched it. That's the amazing thing about the clay flowers. They look so real. The video shoot lasted from early in the morning until late at night, so the clay flower was perfect. There's no way a fresh flower would last that long without wilting or turning brown.

Tell us a little about yourself.
I love bright colors and can never seem to get away from using them, not only in my designs, butin pretty much everything I do. My kitchen is bright green, my laundry room is bright orange, and my office is purple… and I’m pretty much wearing a different colored pair of shoes everyday. I make wedding invitations in my spare time, and I work full time as a graphic artist.
What special things do you create for weddings?
I design and make wedding invitations, and other important wedding paper goods.
Who or what sparked your interest in making wedding-related items?
Good question. My best answer is that weddings are so much FUN.
What is a little known fact, or something unique about your work that is interesting?
I am obsessed (maybe a little OCD) with the way the envelopes HAVE to match the invitation PERFECTLY…. I’m not sure if that is interesting or not.
If you are married, what’s the one thing you wish you had for your wedding that you didn’t?
Wish we had hired a professional photographer, instead of having a friend do it.

Cake tasting!
What advice can you share for all the brides getting married this year?
Don’t be afraid to spend the extra money on something you really love. It’s worth it. You only get married once (hopefully)

I’m not sure, but my calendar save-the-date is very popular, and is really versatile and can work for any wedding because the color possibilities are endless.
